- Inspected vehicle found engine ticking noise came from a valve lash adjuster in the right or rear cylinder head. Upon disassembly to further inspect found intake camshaft severely damaged on one lobe and other lobes show sign of scoring, due to failed camshaft follower. Exhaust camshaft also shows scoring on some lobes. Recommended repair would be to install new camshafts, followers and lash adjusters, at least on one of the two cylinder heads, the one where the issue was found.
